About us

The Milivoj Blaslov fishing trade was founded in 1994 by the father of the family Milivoj Blaslov in the town of Kali on the island of Ugljan, which is considered to be the largest fishing town in the Adriatic.

As our ancestors’ lives have been tied to the sea for centuries, after many years of work across the world’s seas, Milivoj decided to found a trade for the catch of small pelagic fish (sardines, anchovies) and large pelagic fish (tuna).
These days, we fish with our purse seiner “Škoda”, named after one of our ancestors.

Over the years of our trade’s business, the need to expand it has increased; therefore in 2015, we decided to also undertake public freight transport.
Our vehicle fleet consists of 4 frigo trucks for the transport of our own fish to end customers. Additionally, we also transport other goods for the needs of our clients.

Today, after 25 years of successful business, the trade is managed by son Božidar Blaslov who, after graduating from high school, decided to join his father as a right-hand man.

With the inherited knowledge and skills and a new visions of what a trade business should look like in the 21st century, we have been using new technologies to develop a novel project called Provir, which will allow us to diversify our revenue by reducing the exertion of fishing effort on natural resources.

In our case, this refers to fewer catches of small oily fish, while compensating for the difference in revenue with the introduction of a new tourist offer.
